2014 Nicaragua Mission Team

The team is set. We're two days from leaving on our journey, and my mind is wandering back to the first time that we gathered together in the summer. Such a wonderful mix of people with different talents and viewpoints. SallyJo, Chuck, Doug, Sal, Frank, Ruth, Mary, Alan, Carl, Rick, Debbie, Terri and me. Debbie won't be coming with us, but we'll have her giggles and smile in our hearts.

Excitement. Energy. Care. Purpose. Strength. Empathy. Compassion. Creativity. Drive.

These are the things that bind the team together like sticky glue.

All ready to serve.
Ready to learn.
Ready to encourage.
Ready to be a good guest.

I have butterflies in my stomach. The anticipation of something unknown, but something that calls us forward. The team is ready.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;  in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight

  1. "Las Manos de Dios, III" - May God bless you on your journey. He has placed you all in this TEAM for this trip to share the gifts you've been blessed with.

    Romans 12:4-8

"For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness."

This team's gifts will complement each other to continue to spread his word.

Nicole (and the whole TEAM)...having butterflies is a good thing. Butterflies are a symbol of change and transformation. These things will happen while you are on this mission trip! You will come back REBORN and have a RENEWED FAITH ready to continue your "Life's Walk with Christ!!"

I'll be ready to enjoy more of your posts as the Journey continues!
