Day 1: Unpacking and Exploring

So, we were able to get some sleep!  Started off the day with some fantastic coffee and a wonderful breakfast.

Traditional staples of fruit, rice, and beans.

Breakfast with the Tingles!

This is the view from the second floor of our hotel, where we were having breakfast.

Exploring Matagalpa!

Dinner of mixed vegetables, chicken, rice, plantains, and creamy jalapeño sauce.

Agua De Jamaica - otherwise known as hibiscus tea. I love it. Who knew?

Church service.

The pastor and family with our family.

Gwen and I hunting for ice cream. I guess it's too late on a Sunday night. Everything is closed. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

Tomorrow is our first work day between the school and Enrich Missions.  Some of us are going to cook food, some of us are going to present a lesson to the school kids, and the rest will be beginning to set up the wood shop at Enrich and give the first lesson on planing and trimming boards.  I will post an update on all of that tomorrow night. Thanks to everyone for your continued prayers and support!
