Good morning! The mission team rallied at BLC at 3:30 a.m. in order to get everything loaded and transpoted to Albany International Airport and board our 6:20 a.m. flight.
Special thanks to Pastor Jessy for joining us at the early hour to take photos and pray with us before our departure.
The airport was very busy and by the time we got all of our bags checked and through security (Jon was selected for a special, hands on screening), we got to the gate just in time to board. We are currently in Philadelphia enjoying some breakfast and fellowship. Our next flight leaves for Miami around 10:30 a.m.
Assuming all goes as scheduled, we expect to arrive in Managua, Nicaragua at around 7:30 p.m. local time. There is a two hour time difference, so it will be around 9:30 p.m. eastern time. Once we clear customs and collect all of our baggage, we have a bus ride from Managua to Matagalpa that takes approximately two hours.
